Digital Bible on CD
With an estimated 130 Chinese coming to Christ at the rate of 20,000 a day, it is obvious that millions are still without their own Bible. Even though Amity Press, the official Bible printing company in China, can produce one Bible every second, millions are still waiting for their own Bible. The cost of printing and shipping is staggering, and many will wait a lifetime—and maybe die without ever owning their own Bible. But now through the marvels of technology, this one CD is making a whole library of Bibles and books available to the Chinese. Called Chinese Treasures, this CD can be copied and given away in minutes with resources worth thousands of dollars! For several months, China Clippings has been announcing an exciting project of providing 7 books to seminary graduates to help them build a library of tools for Bible study. Many good friends have + responded with gifts and prayer support. Thank you so very much. Now we will be switching to this new CD as it is a full library.
This ONE CD contains all of the following in Chinese:
4 Chinese Bibles in traditional and simplified type and scripts
Two full commentaries
An audio New Testament
175 classic and inspirational Christian books in eight categories for discipleship and evangelism
A hymn book with 500 hymns and songs
"The Hope" video, an 80 minute movie in Mandarin
And best of all, this CD is legal in China and may be carried in freely and distributed without difficulty. Furthermore, if it is copied inside China and given away, there are no copyright fees required!

Church Construction Projects
In the recent earthquake in Sichuan, many churches were destroyed. The people meet outdoors under a canvass as the only protection from the elements. Our western contacts report a fervor in the people for Christian teaching never before experienced. Makeshift buildings are underway to protect the people from the cold and snow soon coming to this mountainous region. Pray earnestly that these growing congregations will not be molested by the police and that the fruit will continue to be harvested.

Alliance Radio Ministry
When the Sichuan earthquake struck China a few months ago, Alliance Radio in Hong Kong set a goal to raise US $128,000.00 to provide hand-held radios for earthquake victims so that they could be kept abreast of relief information and assistance. In addition, special programs have been prepared to help the people find their way to Jesus and to find the comfort that He alone can give. Thus far, $92,544.00 has been received and that means seven thousand households have access to the gospel radio programs and information. That means approximately $13.00 is needed per radio to get it into the hands of a needy family. We urgently ask that you pray for these households as they listen to the gospel. Pray that hearts will be opened to Jesus and His comfort. Pray about your part in placing radios into the hands of these refugees and displaced persons.

Emergency Relief
Many are participating in this urgent relief ministry that has been opening hearts through the love of Christ expressed in these gifts. The need is extremely great and will continue for years as the people attempt to recover. Pray for the thousands of parents who lost their only child as hundreds and hundreds of children died in collapsed buildings. China’s drastic population control policy of one child per couple has brought devastation to these families. Pray for pastors and workers who are ministering to these broken-hearted parents.

Back to Jerusalem
For more than 60 years, this highly neglected area has been the focus of the Chinese Church, but it is only in recent years that the possibility of reaching these countries has become a reality. Today there are centers in China and outside of China where committed young people are preparing to enter these lands regardless of the cost. One group of committed Christians is nearing the end of their third year of training recruits to do what is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit—providing intense Biblical studies in less than ideal locations, preparing the students to learn a trade that will assist in their support, and training students to be vibrant in their Christian faith even though they are isolated and alone. The students are studying some of the world’s most difficult languages so they can easily integrate with the population and share their faith. This training center and hundreds like it need our prayers and support as they diligently work at preparing thousands of messengers to enter these hostile countries. If you take the Great Commission seriously as you should, the western church should become deeply involved by prayer and giving to reach these 67 countries that have been so resistant to the gospel.

South Central Seminary
In the mid-50s, the young, dynamic pastor of the Wuhan Church by the name of Joshua Ku was incarcerated for 20 long, terrible years for the Gospel’s sake. During those long, lonely years, God used him in a mighty way to touch hundreds of lives and to bring them to Jesus Christ. But one passion that burned in his heart was to begin a Bible School whenever he was released to prepare men and women for the work of building Christ’s kingdom. True to his God-given vision, when he was released, he began a Bible School in Wuhan with 12 students. Today it is known as the South Central Theological Seminary with an enrollment of 140 students and hundreds of alumni. (Read more about the great opportunities facing the Seminary in China Clippings)
